Laser IPL and Laser

Laser Hair Removal is the most effective form of hair removal with results that are either semi-permanent or long lasting.

Different types of hair, colour, and skin can all be treated and the procedure is painless, effective and quick.

The laser is passed over treated area, destroying the hair follicle, or the hair root. This also reduces further hair growth and leaves your skin feeling silky smooth. A course of 6 to 10 hair removal treatments is recommended in order to effectively remove the unwanted hair

Please note there will be a charge of £20 for all consultations. If you decide to book your treatment after the initial consultation this charge will be waived.

QUESTIONS

Am I suitable for treatment? 

Most people are suitable for laser hair removal. Good results are seen with people who have darker hair as it has a high concentration of melanin. Fair hair is harder to treat as it contains less melonin that dark hair.

How does the treatment feel?

Laser treatment for hair removal is virtually painless, although some people describe the sensation as a slight prickly heat.

What will I see after treatment?

The heat from the laser damages the hair follicles. After the treatment the hairs tend to appear to grow as the epidermis renews. After 2 to 4 weeks the hairs will shed.

Are there any side effects?

A slight red inflammation may be seen after laser hair removal. The hair follicles may be swollen and raised but this usually subsides within a few hours.

How many treatments are necessary?

Effective results from laser hair removal can be seen after 6 treatments. Treatments are generally conducted every 3 to 6 weeks.

How long does treatment take?Treatments can take as little as 10 minutes and up to 1 hour, depending upon the size of area being treated. A course of treatments is necessary to achieve the desired result. How many depends on the area being treated. These treatments are tailored to your needs.

PLEASE NOTE A FREE patch test is required prior to the treatment to determine a safe and effective setting of the laser for your skin and hair type.

Electrolysis and Waxing

Electrolysis is a form of hair removal that permanently removes unwanted facial hair from the root where the matrix is. The matrix is where the hair gets its oxygen and food.

A small hair thin like metal probe is slid into the hair follicle and a tiny amount of electricity is delivered to the follicle through the probe, which causes localised damage to the matrix which causes the hair to be eventually die. For successful and effective results, each individual hair requires repeated treatments each folicle can have up to a cycle of 4 hair growths.
